Spooky Spouses, The Craft Inspired Photo Shoot
In July we made the move from Brockton, Massachusetts to Pensacola Florida. While I was sad to leave some amazing friends I made in Massachusetts, I was really looking forward to warmer weather and having more of a sense of community living near a military base again, and getting photography clients again.
As a Military Spouse my family has moved from New Mexico, to New Jersey, to California, To Massachusetts and now Florida! Three of those moves being within the last five years in the thick of becoming a mother, maintaining my arts career, and COVID. My business really took a hit through all of this. So once we got to Pensacola I began joining military spouse facebook groups in hopes of gaining more business again, and making some friends.
Shortly after getting here I saw a post needing a photographer for an annual halloween themed military spouse photoshoot and commented. I was thrilled when I was asked to take the photographs because I really needed to start meeting people here, and it’s been a few years since I got to do any type of fun photoshoot- especially one during Halloween- my favorite.
When I was younger I really loved the movie The Craft, especially their style ( my wardrobe fits that theme pretty well). So earlier in October I got to meet up with nine other military spouses on Naval Air Station Pensacola. We spent nearly two hours taking a mixture of group, and solo photographs that were so much fun.
These were not only fun to take, but also to edit something a little more moody. Here’s some of the highlights from the photoshoot.
